MERI’s Winter 2004Ocean Video Night Series Begins

BLUE HILL ­­– The Marine Environmental Research Institute (MERI) announces the continuation of theWinter 2004 Ocean Video Night series at the MERI Center for Marine Studies in downtown Blue Hill.  Ocean Video Nighttakes place on Friday evenings at 7:00 p.m.  The second half of the Winter 2004 schedule begins March 5 and lasts through April 30.  Film selections will focus on marine animals.

Ocean Video Night selections for the Winter 2004 schedule are the following:
March 5:  Toothwalkers: Giants of the Arctic Ice (Walruses)
March 12:    Fish Out of Water (Puffins)
March 19:    Elephant Seals: Those Magnificent Diving Machines
March 26:    Riddle of the Rays
April 2:    Sea Turtles: Ancient Nomads
April 9:    Cradle in the Sea: Harbor Seals/Gray Whales
April 16:   Cradle in the Sea: Killer Whales/Manatees
April 23:    The Bowhead Whale
April 30:   A Sea Otter’s Story

Each Friday night’s presentation includes two films running approximately one hour in total. Popcorn and juice are provided.  A small donation is suggested to cover the MERI Center’s costs.  For more information about Ocean Video Night, call the MERI Education Department at 374-2135.
